Lynda-Louis Marthinus
Lynda-Louis Marthinus is the Principal Advisor to the Vodacom Group of Companies in South Africa, she has been in their employ for the last 13 years.
Lynda has 5 years BEE experience.
She is currently based at Vodacom SA – Midrand offices.
The positions that she has held within Vodacom:
2003 – Representative of Telecommunications sub-sector on Steering Committee for the development of an ICT Charter
2004 – Official drafter of all Vodacom responses to the draft DTI Codes and the 4 draft commentary processes of ICT Charter.
2004 – 9 – Representative of the Regulated Sector on the ICT Charter Steering Committee.
2005 – 6 – Preparing the Organisation for the implementation of the DTI BEE process through a series of workshops with the Execo.
2008 – Key member on the R7.5billion BBBEEE deal responsible for input into the Prospectus, engagement with DTI and DOC and the manager of the audit of 102 000 individual application and over 500 legal entities.
Legislative Experience.
1996 – 9 Auditing and monitoring of Licence obligations Specialist on Universal and Access matters.
2000 – 5 Legislative analyst including submission and draftin and commenting of legislation. Lead on Parliamentary process regarding drafting or amending of secotr liegislations e.g. ECA
Other achievements are, in 2008 she received the CEO Award for contribution to the success of the BBBEE deal. In 2008/9 she was selected as one of 20 women in Leadership programme from the University of the Free State by Vodacom.
